Barceloneta Beach: The most tourism
Barcelonetta Beach is Barcelona’s busiest and one of its largest beaches. Easy to access and close to downtown Barcelona, there are many nice restaurants to enjoy where you can discover the culinary specialties of the region or a drink in the evening. Locals and tourists come here often in the summer. Arrive to the beach early in the morning or late in the afternoon and it is possible to rent chairs.
Quieter beaches: Bogatell beach, Nova Icaria, La Nova Mar Bella
For those who want more peace and relaxation, the beaches of Bogatell and Icaria are very nice and popular for families. Smaller beaches, they are close to the Olympic Port. The beach of Nova Mar Bella, located past the Mar Bella seems to be visited more frequently by women.
Most of the beaches of Barcelona are monitored, handicap accessible, equipped with garbage cans, and have showers and toilets. Bicycle paths can also lead you to the beaches.
